i’m now updating the sample investor pitch deck and discussion as well as the sample board presentation deck.
I’d love to get any questions, suggestions, or just things folks would like to know / see in either deck. thanks.

Kip,
Your deck is great for when you walk into a VC meeting and don’t know most of the audience members, but does it change if you have previously developed a relationship with the VC’s?. In my very limited experience, the method of “dating” the VC may help to determine how to pitch that VC. Is this correct in your experience?
How one changes the deck based on this “dating” is probably dependent upon each situation, but are there some general guidelines you would recommend following when thinking about creating a deck for a known audience?
Thanks,
Matt
Thanks for the question, Matt.
My opinion is that your should always bring your “A Game” to any investment meeting; if an existing relationship makes the meeting more informal and conversational – all the better – but being fully prepared and respectful enough to treat the meeting as if there were no relationship is the most professional approach.
The deck itself should change, of course, if a prior meeting suggested a need for more detail in certain areas or if the business has matured/evolved since the last time you and this particular investor have met.
Hi Kip -
Nice sample deck. I have a generic one that works too that’s a bit different. If you want the spreadsheet of slides & contents, please ping me and I’ll send you the “Open Office” version.
